R. McLaurin Burch, III “Laurin” is a 2000 graduate of the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and also holds an M.B.A. from Augusta University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and worked for several years in public accounting providing clients with tax and business valuation services. Currently he is the Controller for Companion Data Services, a subsidiary of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Carolina.  

He has been involved with several non-profit and community organizations including serving as Chair of the Finance Committee for the Health Services District of Kershaw County, Professional Division Co-Chair of the United Way of Kershaw County, Treasurer of the Lyttleton Street UMC United Methodist Men, member of the Kiwanis Club of Kershaw County and alumni of Leadership Florence.    

Laurin and his wife Jenn ’00 reside in Camden, SC with their three daughters, Riley Grace, Stella and McLaurin.
